Fabriano has produced eleven approved sons and over 80 state premium mares. To date he has presented 75 candidates and 21 foals for the Verden elite auctions. Dr. Wilkens, managing director of the VhW, calls Fabriano “one of the best performance horse producers of Hannover’s
breeding program today.” Fabriano passes on to his progeny elasticity, very good gaits, jumping ability and rideability together with a very good character. According to the Hannoveraner Jahrbuch Hengste (Hanoverian Stallion Yearbook), Fabriano scored 136 on his mare’s dressage qualities, 125 on their jumping abilities and 157 on their foundation (leg scores/correctness), making him one of the very few stallions on the Hanoverian Verband’s “Toplist” for siring both outstanding dressage and jumping qualities. Most German breeders know of the wonderful temperament, willing attitude and work ethic given by Fabriano. Rideability is of utmost importance to the vast majority of competitors today.

Another well known dressage offspring is Ashanti with over 27,975 DM in earnings.
Absatz was the champion stallion of the 1962 Verden licensing. Absatz was a stallion with a very refined head and light, free action. This father and son line has had an enormous influence in refining the Hanoverian from farm horse to modern sport horse. He gave the Hanoverian the
characteristic and incomparable "Absatz type" which this breed was envied of for a long time and by which this breed still profits in the second and third generations even today. A novel head with an impressive face, ideal neck and saddle position, as well as light-footed paces combined with a good shoulder are the characteristics of his offspring. Absatz was his Abglanz's most famous son and sired 37 licensed stallions and 17 fully licensed and approved stallions including Admiral, Andiamo, Aktuell, Akzent I & II, Argenten I & II and Arsenik, Sire of Adios II, Bridlewood Farms first Hanoverian stallion. He also produced 84 States Premium mares and has 823 total registered offspring in Hanover, 446 of which are approved mares in the studbook. Equally impressive are his 348 registered competition offspring whose earnings are 943,787.00 DM.
Buckpasser xx was an American bred Thoroughbred racehorse who won he won nine of his eleven race starts for international record winnings for a 2 year old of $586,090. Buckpasser was leading broodmare sire in 1983, 1984 and
1989. He was a bay colt that was bred and owned by Ogden Phipps and foaled at Claiborne Farm in Paris, Kentucky. Buckpasser was by the Horse of the Year winner, Tom Fool. His dam was the stakes-winning mare, Busanda, by the Triple Crown winner War Admiral. A racing official, Dr. Manual Gilman said of him, "Generally, every horse has about a hundred faults of conformation. I would defy anybody to pick a flaw in Buckpasser." Renowned horse painter Richard Stone Reeves said, "Buckpasser was the most perfectly proportioned Thoroughbred I have ever seen." Only two horses, Secretariat and Affirmed, have since been "in a class with Buckpasser".
Nashua xx was an American-born thoroughbred racehorse, perhaps best remembered for a 1955 match race against the horse that had defeated him in the Kentucky Derby. Nashua's sire was the good, but temperamental, European champion Nasrullah. Nashua's dam was Segula, a good broodmare who has had influence through her female
descendants. Nashua won his famous match race with the great thoroughbred Swaps who had defeated him in the 1955 Kentucky Derby. Nashua retired as only the second horse to earn more than $1 million. His earnings of $1,288,565 surpassed the great Citation's record and stood as the earnings record until surpassed by Round Table in the autumn of 1958. At stud, Nashua was consistent, and his fillies were usually better runners than his colts. His progeny included the Hall of Fame racemare Shuvee and Gold Digger, dam of Mr. Prospector. In 1965, he was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame.

Inspection." Bred by Edgewood Meadow Farm, Fleur is by the Bridlewood Farm's homozygous black stallion, Fabuleux (Fabriano x Augustinus), who is well known for passing on his exceptional rideability, trainability, conformation, and movement. Fabuleux passed his 100 day test in Germany with scores nothing less than 9. Fleur's dam, Fun Choice (Don's Choice x Salt Spray), is a AHS approved TB of which only a handful of 34 TB mares have been able to accomplish. Before her breeding career, Fun Choice was a successful dressage and event horse. Fleur's full brother, Firenza,
has just started his career as a dressage horse, where the trainer claimed he has FEI potential. Firenza's owner purchased him with high hopes that he will compete in the hunter ring some day. We are so excited to have Fleur with us, and are even more excited for her debut in the show ring in the summer of 2011.
A promising start for a promising future
New Orleans competed in her first hunter classes with much success. It is great to see good breeding shine through, as Fabuleux is known especially for passing along his wonderful temperament and rideability. It will be a pleasure to be able to show her in the coming years. We see great career ahead with this one!
